HotStuff 2.0 widgets

For anyone who’s interested, I’ve just posted a couple of HotStuff widgets: www.daveyp.com/hotstuff/widgets/
If you’ve got a blog which is listed, you can add a widget to show your current “Hot or Not” rating…

The second widget allows you to add a word cloud (based on either all words, words used by a specific blog, or for a specific word)…

Both widgets are available as either WordPress sidebar widgets or as embeddable JavaScript.

  1. Hi Dave,
Widget looks good, but before I’d install it I’d need to play the system first, to make my blog red hot 🙂
I was thinking of creating 30 separate posts, all with over about 50 words and featuring terms like okapi and splendiferous and trumvirate. Would that do the trick?

  2. I’ve made a change to the way that the scores are calculated to make things a little fairer…
Every day the scores are reset and recalculated using the 3 most recent posts from each blog. The points are still awarded based on that day’s word frequencies.
This means that your rating can change every day, regardless of whether or not you’ve made any new blog posts.
